Integrity Matters

AIO Presentations

"Academic integrity is at the bedrock of the University's role to pursue knowledge and truth. Any conduct that either disrespects truth in either contents or authorship disrespects knowledge and undermines the essential quality of learning as open, inquiring and always fully forthright and honest." Professor Neil Gold, Vice-President, International

The Academic Integrity Officer is available to conduct large-group academic integrity orientations other than in-class sessions. With respect to in-class presentations, instructors are free to download the PPT presentations set out below, excerpt slides from them, and modify them for their purposes. For additional information, please contact Danielle Istl, the Academic Integrity Officer, who will be happy to prepare material for you to use in your classroom, which can be tailor-made to to suit your needs.

Below are some of the more recent presentations that have been conducted.

For the plagiarism presentations, the template for each presentation is the same, although changes are made to presentations depending on the discipline involved, the citation manual being used, the level of student understanding and experience, the requirements of the course or professor, the requirements of the students' future profession, etc.
