Part-Time and Mature Students

Part-time Students are encouraged to book an appointment with Susan Page but are welcome to book an appointment with any of the Advisors.

A Message from Susan Page, Advisor for Part-Time and Mature Students

Picture of Susan Page, Advisor for Part-Time and Mature StudentsI would like to offer a few suggestions that may help pave your way to feeling comfortable as a U of W student.

First, I invite you to contact or visit the Advising Centre whenever you have a concern.  My colleagues and I look forward to getting to know you.  In fact, take advantage of all the Student Services.  We understand that those first few courses can produce some confusing moments and we can help answer your questions.

As well, avoid the temptation of the "drive-thru education" defined by driving in every Tuesday evening just in time for class and that's all.  Instead, have a "gourmet experience".  Take a little time to meet other part-time students in the OPUS Lounge; get to know your professors and teaching assistants.  You are now a valued part of the campus community.  Come back for a play or concert.  Bring the kids to a football game or BBQ.

Again, welcome, and I wish you success and enjoyment in your time at the University of Windsor!
