About the Project
The Liberty Project is a social enterprise which aims to address two significant societal challenges that are often neglected or ignored in today’s society: (1) Providing women who have overcome human trafficking, abuse, addiction, and trauma with the opportunity for transitional employment; and (2) Giving women living in poverty across the world access to sanitary menstrual health products.
To address these challenges, the Liberty Project takes a two-step approach, first consulting with potential clients to help improve their employability and financial literacy skills, before providing transitional employment to manufacture reusable menstrual pads. The goal is to help clients find full-time employment while doing social good.
How will funds impact the work being done?
Enactus Windsor is an award-winning, student-run experiential learning supported by the Odette School of Business. Funds will support the project in general, but most importantly will help pay clients a living wage of $14.81 an hour.
Fundraising Goal: $1,500
