OSAP Pick-Up (No appointment required) Starting January 23, 2012

OSAP Pick-Up By Appointment - January 3 - January 20, 2012

NSLSC On-Site in CAW Student Centre January 24th - January 27th (last day!)

Winter 2012 OSAP Distribution will be taking place by appointment starting Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 and will run for 3 weeks ending on Friday, January 20th (with the exception of weekends and New Year's Day.  The appointment system has proven successful in the past in eliminating student wait times so it is strongly encouraged that students utilize this service.  After January 20th, student wait times increase significantly and the convenience of one-stop-shop is no longer an option.  After January 20th, students must wait in line at the Student Awards Office to pick up their funding, and then again in the Cashiers Office to validate their funding.  If tuition fees are owing, students must claim their OSAP funding by January 31st in order to avoid interest charges.

If you are expecting OSAP funding for Winter 2012, you will able to book your appointment to claim your funding starting Friday, December 30th at 9:00 AM.  You will also receive an email reminder from our office in mid-December.  PLEASE NOTE that email notification regarding the OSAP pick up process does not guarantee that your OSAP funding will be here.  See chart below to determine if your funding should be available and please log on to OSAP on-line to confirm that funds have been issued and on what date:

Funds printed/issued on/before: Funds availabe on or after of:
December 18th, 2011 January 3rd, 2012
December 30th, 2011 January 9th, 2012
January 8th, 2012 January 12th, 2012
January 15th, 2012 January 19th, 2012

If you are receiving an ONTARIO ACCESS GRANT (WINTER OSAP DISTRIBUTION ONLY):  The provincial government will NOT be issuing your grant cheque to the Student Awards Office.  It will be either electronically deposited into your bank account within 4 weeks AFTER you have negotiated your Winter 2012 OSAP funding certificate (which you will pick up from the Student Awards Office if you have been issued one) OR it will be mailed directly to your mailing address on file with OSAP (in early February) once our office confirms your enrolment  and your eligibility (in early January).  If you have tuition fees owing to the University of Windsor which is not covered by your OSAP funding certificate (loan), then it will be your responsibility to ensure that your tuition is paid to the Cashiers Office once you receive the proceeds directly from your Ontario Access Grant Cheque.

All appointments MUST be scheduled on-line via the links that you will be given to the Appointment Scheduling Systems for both the Student Awards & Financial Aid Office and the Cashiers Office.  Students will require their UWin user ID and their Domino password.  In most cases, a student's Domino password has already been synchronized with your UWin password (your UWin password is the password that you use for your email and to access the student portal).  Instructions are included on the information page if you experience difficulties with the sign-on function.  You may try to sign in to the system at any time to test your access however, you will not be able to book your appointment until Friday, December 30th at 9:00 AM.
