There are certain things that you need to do in order to maintain OSAP eligibility througout your studies:
- You need to ensure that you pass the courses that you are being funded for. We call this successful academic progression and OSAP requires that student pass a minimum of 60% of a full course load (40% for students with a permanent disability) in order to maintain eligibility. More information....
- You need to ensure that you have accurately reported your income on your OSAP application for the reporting periods specified on your application when you applied. This is called income verification. OSAP verifies the income that you reported on your application with the income that you report to Canada Revenue Agency. This generally happens in June or August depending on whether or not you finished the academic year in April or in August. More information...
- You need to be sure that if you drop courses after you have picked up your OSAP funding or if you withdraw, that you advise the Student Awards and Financial Aid Office after you have officially withdrawn from the courses via the Student Information System. More information...
