Studying through the distance education program allows busy people with jobs and families an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and pursue lifelong learning. Even though study time is flexible, it is a good idea to set aside a certain day and time each week for your course work, just as you would if you were attending a course on a regular campus. As a general rule, you should plan to spend 8-12 hours per week on reading, homework, and independent study for each course that you take. The more time and effort you put into a course, the more you will learn. Students who diligently follow the curriculum will realize the greatest opportunity for knowledge and personal growth. Distance education courses require self discipline. Remember, your instructor ia available to assist you with your questions and concerns. be sure to contact him/her when you need help.
