Odette Award for Excellence in Business Leadership
Dr. Sandra Pupatello, former Windsor West MPP and Ontario cabinet minister, was presented with the Odette Award for Excellence in Business Leadership at a reception following the 2012 Convocation at the Odette School of Business. This award, established by the late Louis L. (Bud) Odette, recognizes outstanding service of both alumni volunteers and friends of the School who have made significant commitments in time, energy, and expertise. Sandra is the sixth person to receive this award joining Richard Peddie (2003), Mark Barnicutt ( 2004), Peter Cathcart (2007), Chancellor Ed Lumley (2007), and Mike Mueler (2010).
Student Achievement Recognized
Dean Conway also recognized Lisa Masotti who received the Faculty of Business Administration Board of Governors Medal in recognition of achieving the highest academic standing in her undergraduate graduating class—a cumulative average of 12.75 out of a possible 13. Lisa also graduates with Great Distinction, which is awarded to students who achieve a GPA of 12.0 or above A.
Manjari Dharmasena, Brandon Klyn, Nicholas Rothernel, Matthew Sobocan, Nicholas Souilliere, Ka Yi Tam, Samantha Tan, Matthew van Sintern-Dick, and Paul Zuberbuhler were also honoured for Graduating with Distinction, which is awarded to students with a GPA of 11.0 – 11.9 or A- to A.
Odette faculty were also on hand to congratulate the grads and to meet their proud families.
