Downtown Campus Expansion

The University of Windsor has unveiled the design of a new building to be constructed in the city centre adjacent to the former Windsor Armouries. Located on the former Tunnel Bar-B-Q property, the new building together with the Armouries will be home to the University’s School of Creative Arts.

Post-Secondary Cluster

The University of Windsor will join St. Clair College in making downtown Windsor an education destination.

UWindsor's downtown campus, though only minutes from main campus, will bring the School of Creative Arts to the Armouries Building—joining St. Clair College's vibrant Centre for the Arts and Mediaplex in enlivening the downtown area.

The School of Social Work and the Centre for Executive and Professional Education will relocate to the Windsor Star building.

Visual Arts and the Music programs will move to the Armouries in downtown Windsor thanks to the City of Windsor's capital donation of the building and a $10 million gift, and the provincial government's investment of $15 million.
