Career Development & Experiential Learning (CDEL) hosts career fairs, recruitment and networking events, and information sessions in collaboration with employers, community agencies and post-grad educational institutions for UWindsor students and alumni.

Types of CDEL Events

Fairs & Recruitment Events

From larger fairs to Faculty-specific events, there are opportunities for all students to meet with employers and community partners to learn about the many career open to them.

Upcoming Fairs & Recruitment Events

The University of Windsor’s Career Development team in collaboration with the Faculty of Education will host School Boards and educational agencies at the CAW centre. The purpose of the day is to provide schools, school boards and educational agencies the opportunity to meet and recruit teacher candidates. Registration for employers will open January 8th, 2024. Unable to make it to Fair or want extra engagement along with attending the Fair?
Representatives from schools, boards, and educational agencies are invited to connect with teacher candidates on select Thursdays throughout the Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 semester face-to-face, directly in the lobby of the Leonard & Dorothy Neal Education Building. This year we will not be holding online recruitment sessions, students have expressed fatigue with online formats, and they are interested in meeting employers in person. The Office of Career Development and Experiential Learning, in partnership with the Faculty of Engineering are excited to welcome you back to campus to engage with student talent at the 2024 UWindsor Engineering Job Fair. Employers are invited to connect with undergraduate students, masters students, and new alumni with concentrations in Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering to discuss your organization and employment opportunities.

CDEL welcomes employers to meet with and present to students and alumni through information sessions, campus visits, webinars, information booths, and other interactive events.

CDEL-Led Special Events

From larger career conferences, networking nights, and alumni panels to on-campus career engagement events, CDEL gives students opportunities to build their career and job search skills through interactive special events.

Promotion of Events Held by External Partners

CDEL often highlights events hosted by companies, community agencies, and institutions related to career, employment, community involvement, and skills building. While not coordinated by CDEL, these can be a great way for students to learn about exciting career and learning opportunities outside of campus.

Past Fairs & Recruitment Events

The Office of Career Development and Experiential Learning, in partnership with the Faculty of Nursing are excited to invite students and alumni to the 2023 Nursing Career Fair. Hospitals, healthcare organizations, and agencies with employment opportunities will be invited to join us to provide students and alumni an opportunity to learn about full-time, part-time, and occassional nursing opportunities.

Public Service organizations, and Non-profit organizations that serve members of the surrounding community are invited to showcase their career pathways to all students. This event will provide organizations with the opportunity to, discuss pathways to specific roles and provide information on steps associated with entering these organizations. Employers that have full-time, part-time, summer, contract and volunteer opportunities will be ready to answer questions regarding these prospects and next steps in attaining experience with their organization.

 

Graduate & Professional Schools Fair

University of Windsor students and alumni can speak with representatives from academic institutions to learn more about their graduate programs, post-graduate certificates, continuing eduaction and professional schools. Find out about masters and PhD programs, law school, teacher education, pharmacy and medical programs, graduate certificate programs, MBA's, and further education options.
