Tax Receipts and Confidentiality
Income tax receipt information for the 2010 taxation year (includes 2010 Winter, 2010 Summer & 2010 Fall semesters) is available in a printable format on the web via the Student Information System (SIS) and MyUWindsor. The University no longer mails tuition income tax receipts beginning with the 2002 taxation year. To access the information simply sign onto the student web using your 9 digit student ID number and 4 digit Personal Access Code (PAC) and click on the option Income Tax Information. If you do not remember your PAC code, please contact the Registrar's Office to obtain this code. You can also log on to MyUWindsor and go under the Financial Matters tab. Please read the information on this page carefully.
Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations do not require you to submit a printed form when you are filing your income tax.

Important Note: If you have not paid in full your fees for 2010 Winter, 2010 Summer or 2010 Fall, you will not have dollar values available for each semester that is unpaid (you will however have the number of months of attendance recorded). Once your account is paid in full, please contact the Cashiers' Office to have revised figures made available to you.

Please note that the dollar values recorded for your tax information are not the same as the amount you have paid on your account, as some fees are not claimable for income tax purposes.
Your Winter 2011 fees will not appear on the 2010 file - they will appear for the 2011 taxation year, which will be available by the end of February of 2012.
Even if you are not eligible to claim any tuition amounts, you may still be eligible to claim the number of months of full or part-time attendance. If you are unsure of what you can claim, contact Canada Revenue Agency for clarification.

We cannot give tax forms to anyone but the student. Because your tax form contains your student ID number, University of Windsor Senate Bylaws forbid us to provide a printed form to anyone but the student. If you want your parents or other persons to receive this information, you must obtain it yourself and forward it to them. While we recognize that this is an inconvenience for you, we are strongly committed to upholding the integrity of the student records for the protection of every student at the University.
