Welcome to Catholic Campus Ministry

Welcome to Catholic Campus Ministry!

There is much more here than you might think!

Education is a funny thing - there are all kinds of ways we measure it, but the real value of education is not seen in what you can measure.  At the end of your career at the University of Windsor, you will leave here with a degree validating your qualifications in a particular academic discipline, but as the years pass, it won't be the class content you remember best - it will be the things that happened between your classes.  Years from now, you will tell stories of great joys and sorrows; you will recall friends, and experiences.

This is what Campus Ministry is all about:  giving you the spaces and opportunities to process the events and experiences of your life.  Of course, you can add to those experiences through all the opportunities we offer - dance, food, travel and service are but a few of the activities we offer here.  But those programs aren't what make Campus Ministry such a special part of the University of Windsor - that is a result of the students who belong here.

We want you to know, that above all else, this is a place you can belong - no matter what your belief structure.

We are excited you are here - at our page - so let me tell you just of the new things we are excited about:

  1. We have new staff this year:  two graduates, Andrea Kitz - Program Coordinator; and Thomas Dula - Faith Formation Coordinator.  The really great part is they just got married to each other this past summer!
  2. Discovering Me:  A new, free course designed to help you answer that most difficult question:  What am I going to do with my life?  (check it out on the Weekly Activities section)
  3. Many opportunities for Travel, near near and far:  From Pelee Island to Halifax - we are certainly going places this year.  (check out the Special Events section)
  4. Less weekly events and more special events:  We are changing paces this year to meet your schedule, so join the Facebook Group to keep up with all that is happening!)

If you have any questions, then just drop by Assumption University Building and look for the Student Centre sign on the North side of the building.  If you get lost, just give Fr. Chris a shout:  cvalka@assumptionu.ca or 519-253-3000 x3381.
