How can I hire student employees and volunteers?

The Centre for Career Education acts as a central point of contact for many students conducting job search activities and we offer a variety of programs and services designed to help you reach them with your paid or volunteer opportunity.

Consider the following options if you have a paid employment opportunity to offer:

• Co-operative Education
• Post your summer, part-time or co-op student positions on the myCareer system at https://career.uwindsor.ca.  
• Our office coordinates the application process for two government wage subsidy programs for summer hiring:
  • Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ)
  • Summer Experience Program (SEP)
• Two additional options for hiring students offered by departments other than the CCE include:
  • WISE (Windsor International Student Employment)
  • WorkStudy

There are several other funding programs offered for employers in Canada and some of these may also be accessed by on-campus employers who meet the criteria specified for each program.  Please check our Funding Resources page to explore these opportunities.

Consider the following if you have an unpaid or volunteer opportunity to offer:

• Volunteer Internship Program (VIP)
