How do I apply?

Application Process:

All undergraduate students are eligible to apply.  Eligible students must be in good academic standing. 

Admission will be based on a formal application and formal interview results.  Initial screening of applicants will be based on the formal application and academic standing.  Final selection will be based on interview results.

VIP Application Form:

To apply to the VIP Program, go to the student portal at (https://my.uwindsor.ca), click on myCareer and then click on the VIP tab, found at the top of your screen.

Application deadlines are:

  • Winter semester:  November 15
  • Summer semester:  March 15
  • Fall semester:  Early bird applications from March 16th to 21st with additional applications accepted in the summer semester until August 5th.

What type of placements are available?

VIP currently works with over 150 non-profit organizations around the Windsor / Essex County community!  Some of the job titles that students have held in the past include:

  • Constituency Assistant
  • Fund-raising Assistant
  • Occupational / Physiotherapy Assistants
  • Marketing / Public Relations Assistants
  • Student Teachers
  • Computer Instructors / Web Page Developers
  • Research Assistants
  • Patient Care Assistants
