"I had the opportunity to work for two co-op terms at 3M Canada Company in London, Ontario as a marketing intern. During this time, I was able to "test drive" a potential career, all while learning valuable skills in a world-class setting. Despite being a student, my co-workers trusted me with important projects and I was treated as a valued member of cross-functional teams. Thanks to my internship I knew that upon graduation I wanted to return to 3M Canada in a similar role. Luckily, 3M Canada sought me out (even during a worldwide recessionary period where hiring had been declining) and I was offered a full-time position. I strongly believe that co-operative education is the reason why I am employed today. I would strongly recommend the University of Windsor's Co-operative Education Program to any student wanting to kick-start their career and looking for a way to put them at the top of the resume pile."
