June saw a flurry of new activities on the job site.  North of the Industrial Courtyard, footings and foundations continued for the large lecture hall.  In addition, the basement and area around the oval classroom were backfilled.  In phase 1, the underground plumbing and electrical conduit installation continued.  The first two portions of the slab on grade were poured.  In these areas, aboveground plumbing began.  Many of the interior masonry walls have been laid and the roofing over the research areas commenced.
