SWSA Grant Program

THE SOCIAL WORK STUDENT ASSOCIATION (SWSA) GRANT PROGRAM

The Social Work Student Association (SWSA) is a student society which seeks to represent, support and advocate for Bachelor of Social Work Students at the University of Windsor, Ontario. SWSA acts as a link between students and faculty in order to ensure that students’ voices are represented in the School of Social Work. The association seeks to promote social justice and to enrich the community.

The SWSA Grant Program was initiated in 2011 with the dual purposes of enriching student learning as well as providing an opportunity for students to give back to the community.  In order to prepare for the grant submission, students will attend a professional development session on effective grant-writing.  Grant funds will be used to fill a need in the student’s placement agency.  Students will also receive recognition by SWSA upon a successful application.
