What is the Mentorship Program?

Attention all Social Work and Pre-Social Work Students!!!

Do you want to be more involved with your school?
Do you need more experience to improve your resume?
Do you need a mentor to help you with your academic concerns?

We can help! Join the Mentorship Program today.
Whether you are applying for a job, for your Master's, for third year, or
just want to meet people, being involved with the Mentorship Program is a
great way to do this.

This program is to unite first and second year
students with students in third and fourth year. This program will help
first and second year students by having someone to talk to who has been
through the process of applying to third year BSW program, choosing
classes, etc.
This wouldn't take much of your time; it would be on a needs-basis.
Hopefully you and your partner could meet up at least once to get to know
one another. You can even chat through phone or e-mail.
Please let me know if you are interested in either being a mentor or
having a mentor. It will look great on a resume and is a good way to meet
people and get involved with the School of Social Work.
Appropriate matches will be made and participants will be notified as soon
as possible. Also please indicate within your request if you have any
specific requests (i.e. to have a mentor who has special needs, or a
mature student) and we will try to match you up that way.

Please contact Rose Ankrah, The SWSA Mentorship Program Coordinator at ankrahr@uwindsor.ca or SWSA at swsa@uwindsor.ca if you are interested in participating.
