Come and check out the events that the SWSA will be running.

The dates for volunteering at the Downtown Misson Food Bank are OCTOBER 15th and NOVEMBER 19th. There is a sign up sheet posted on the door of the SWSA Office (CHN G134) and there are 15 spots available for each day. If you sign the sheet, you also need to sign a Trip Waiver which will be available during office hours (Monday 1-3 and Tuesday 12-2).
CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
This month the WIndsor-Essex Children's Aid is sponsoring Child Abuse Prevention Month.
On October 8th at 8:30 am they are hosting a Pancake Breakfast at the main office (1671 Riverside Dr E) with a minimum cost of $5 person. The proceeds will go towards continuing the education and prevention of child abuse efforts of WECAS. Grab a group of friends and head out for a great cause!
Also, October is GO PURPLE FOR PREVENTION MONTH. The SWSA Office is equipped with purple ribbons from WECAS for students to wear around and promote the cause. Don't forget to sport your favourite purple ensemble and your ribbon!

HALLOWEEN
On October 31st SWSA will be Trick-or-Treating for canned goods to donate to the Welcome Center of Windsor.
We have chosen the nieghborhood around Parent and Techumseh to collect from. Students will meet either on campus for rides (please let us know if you need a ride) or at the parking lot at Parent and Techumseh and we will go from there.
The Sunday before (October 24th) a group of students will drop off fliers in people's mail boxes to let them know when we are coming and a little about our cause. We would like to get a group of volunteers together to help out with this.
Students and Professors who want to make a donation of canned goods can also drop them off at the SWSA office.
For more information on any of the events coming up, please email Meaghan (sherrif@uwindsor.ca), Julie (arthurj@uwindsor.ca) or Clarissa (guytonc@uwindsor.ca)
