Research Administration: Building Bridges

CARA LogoThe CARA Ontario 2018 conference will be co-hosted by the University of Windsor and St Clair College, and located along on the beautiful waterfront of Windsor, on Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23, 2018.

This year's theme is Research Administration: Building Bridges. We will explore research partnerships, funding, pre-award, post-award, finance, and more! Our creative conference program is evolving, and already includes morning yoga and tai chi, and an “unconference” event with topics chosen by you and toasted with some of our region’s award-winning wines. We will also be hosting a DANCE at the Thursday night Gala Reception!

Windsor is located right across the river from Detroit, Michigan USA, whose skyline you will enjoy both days of the conference. Centred at the heart of the Great Lakes, we are home to one of the busiest border crossings in Canada. Windsor and Detroit will soon be building the new Gordie Howe International Bridge which is set to be the most technologically advanced border crossing!

The key building blocks to creating such a large project are strong partnerships. The University of Windsor and St Clair College are two of the many strong collaborations Windsor has to showcase.

We hope you enjoy CARA Ontario 2018 and after the conference, we invite you to stay and make it a #WindsorWeekend. Recharge after the hectic fall granting season with affordable prices, world-renowned Windsor Pizza, and world-class arts institute. Windsor has very warm mild weather, around 10°C in November! Bring your friends or family along. Our University, College, and our city look forward to your visit!
