Academic Requirements:

Direct Admission High School Requirements:

  • 74% and ENG4U, MHF4U, SCH4U and SPH4U required. MCV4U strongly recommended
  • 74% second Science/Math average, excluding SBI4U

Year 2 Application requirements:

  • Year 1 cumulative average of 60%, and no more than one outstanding grade below 50%.

Continuation Requirement:

  • Year 1 cumulative average of 70% is required for students directly admitted to co-op for automatic continuation in year 2 Co-op. A student with a year 1 average of 60%-69.9% must re-apply for Co-op in year 2.
  • Years 2, 3, and 4 must maintain a cumulative average of 60% and no more than one outstanding grade below 50%

 

How to Apply

Students can apply for the co-op option when applying to the University of Windsor or as a 2nd-year student. Year 2 Applications are available in mid August via mySuccess. The year 2 deadline date is the 2nd Friday or classes in the fall term.

Selecting co-op when applying to the University of Windsor:

  • Ontario high school applicants select the co-op degree program on the Ontario University Application Centre form.
  • Out of Province Canadian high school applicants select the co-op degree program on the Ontario University Application Centre form.
  • College / University Transfer applicants select the co-op degree program on the Ontario University Application Centre form and submit the Co-op Application for Transfer Students form.
  • International applicants select the co-op degree program on the Ontario University Application Centre form and submit a Co-op Application for International Students form. Please contact us for more information.

Current Students

Students not directly admitted out of high school can apply for co-op in the fall of their 2nd year of study. Students must be full-time, have a minimum cumulative average of 60% and no more than one outstanding F grade on their transcript. Applications are due by 4:00 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018. Student can access the Co-op Application via our mySuccess System. Visit the mySuccess Portal.

Late Admission Requests:
Applications submitted beyond the fall of 2nd year (beyond 3rd year for Industrial Engineering) are accepted on an exception basis only. Instructions and requirements can be found on the Request to be Admitted Late to Co-op form. Please contact us for more information.

Industrial Engineering Year 3 Admission:

Industrial Engineering students not already admitted to co-op can apply for co-op in the fall of their 3rd year of study for a 12-16 month internship beginning in the summer following 3rd year.  Students must be full-time, have a cumulative average of 60% and no more than one outstanding F grade on their transcript. Applications are due by 4:00 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018.  Students can access the Co-op Application form via our mySuccess System.
