The small school feel was just one of the attributes about our Computer Science program here at the University of Windsor, that alumnus Bryan Bedard (B.Sc. (Hons) Software Development – 1999) appreciated. Bryan built lasting relationships with both his fellow classmates and his professors, relationships that endure today and have helped his career. He found the campus itself inspirational with its beautiful buildings and close proximity to the riverfront.
While building relationships, Bryan also managed to focus on his courses and states that the School of Computer Science is filled with professors that care about their students and who are passionate about the subjects they teach. He will always remember Dr. Kent teaching students to be creative and to add personality to their work.
Bryan has put to work his knowledge acquired from courses, such as Data Structures, File Systems, Relational Databases, Operating Systems and Object Oriented Analysis and Design, at Title Source in Detroit, Michigan, where he is currently the Director of Data Operations. Title Source is a sister company to Quicken Loans. Prior to joining Title Source, Bryan worked as a Software Developer for Avatar Software in Windsor for 12 years.
When asked about his future plans, Bryan responds that he is happy to be part of the Quicken Loans family where they are having on impact rebuilding the city of Detroit and transforming it into a technology hub. He has an entrepreneurial spirit and would love to build a software company in the city of Windsor in a few years.
We look forward to graduating more talented students who can help you follow your dream!
