Computer Science Acheivement Awards 2012

Each year, the School of Computer Science acknowledges not only those students who have achieved a cumulative GPA over 10.0 with a major GPA over 10.5, but also those undergraduate students who have made an impact in research and in the industry.  On Friday, March 31, 2012, the Computer Science Academic Achievement Awards were held.  Students were recognized for various achievements and contributions made over the past year, including qualifying for the Director’s Honour Roll.

In addition to honouring our hard working students for their outstanding academic achievements, we were delighted to have Mr. Stuart Sutton, President of Sylectus, (industry leader in web-based transportation management solutions across North America) address the students as our Keynote Speaker.

Awards were also given for the Highest GPA in General or Honours degree programs.  Matthew Robert Renaud – 2nd year Honours student, was recognized for his academic excellence, the Director’s Honour Roll, Outstanding Scholar Award and the NSERC-USRA award.   Nashwan K. Nahab received the Highest GPA award for the BCS (Gen) for University Graduates program.
