March 1 - May 31, 2010

Dr. Damian Ruth lectures undergraduate and postgraduate strategic management at Massey University, New Zealand. He also lectures in the MBA and supervises Masters, PhD and DBA students. He has specialised in being a generalist, with a first degree in arts and humanities, a second degree in social science (University of Cape Town) and a PhD in management and education (Sheffield, UK). He has also been a journalist, a high school teacher and an academic development practitioner, and spent several years performing for the dust-jacket of the novel he still has to write. Dr. Ruth is currently doing a post-graduate diploma in Industrial Design. His main leisure interests are poetry, chess and being a sheddie (one who spends a lot of time in his shed!). His publications and research revolve around the use of art in management education, aesthetics and spirituality in organization, and the role of universities and higher education in our changing society. He is negotiating another nine lives to finish outstanding projects.
