Teaching Observations

The CTL offers classroom observations to teaching staff at the University. These observations afford instructors the opportunity to assess the quality of student learning in their classrooms, and their role in facilitating that learning. Teaching observations are not intended to be a review of course content.

An educational consultant will meet with you to discuss your teaching and learning concerns and goals, and then together, you will decide the best method of observation – the gathering of formative feedback from students, videotaping and review of teaching, or sitting in on a lecture. After the observation, you will meet with the educational consultant to discuss your strengths and areas in need of development.

If you would like to schedule a teaching observation, contact the CTL by email at ctl@uwindsor.ca or by phone at 519-253-3000, ext. 3090.
