Cycle cavalcade to kick off Bike Month

Cycling is a fantastic way to travel to campus, say the organizers of an event Thursday to promote the mode of transportation.

“We want to parade through the campus to show new students that cycling is a fun and exciting means of getting around,” says Kris Owens, vice-president of the UWindsor Cyclists Association.

The Cavalcade of Bicycles will begin at the Fixit station located in front of Essex Hall at 2 p.m. September 4 and proceed through the University’s grounds. It is the first in a series of events planned to celebrate September as “Bike Month.” Learn more on the group’s website, uwindsor.ca/cyclists.
