Information Technology Services still adding to list of Windows XP users

The staff of Information Technology Services is compiling a list of University resources still using the Windows XP operating system.

Campus technicians helped to identify machines not able to upgrade to a more secure version of Windows as part of an effort to phase out XP after Microsoft announced withdrawal of support for the platform. Some computers cannot be upgraded, for example if they require interface to legacy equipment like cameras or instruments.

If you are working with Windows XP and have not had a service call opened or been contacted by staff in IT Services, contact the Helpdesk at 519-253-3000, ext. 4440, or helpdesk@uwindsor.ca.
