Veteran performer to present workshop on voice acting

UWindsor acting alumna Elley-Ray Hennessy (BFA 1979) will be on campus later this month to share some of what she has learned in a 30-year career as a voice actor.

Hennessy’s credits include the animated series Babar, Care Bears, Berenstein Bears, and the Cat in the Hat.

Participants in the three-day weekend workshop will explore the particulars of voice work: how to create characters and expand vocal range, techniques to bring a script to life, how to stand out at auditions and job interviews, and the basics of the voice-over business October 31, November 1 and 2 in the Jackman Dramatic Art Centre.

This training is open to students in all programs, staff and faculty. The $250 registration fee includes the workshop, lunch and snacks for the three days. For details and to register, contact Maureen Haggith in the School of Dramatic Art at drama@uwindsor.ca.
