Six Lancer varsity teams will see action at home January 17 in what athletics staff has dubbed “Super Saturday.”

The weekend will kick off Friday with volleyball hosting the Ryerson Rams in the St. Denis Centre. The women play at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m. Lancer men’s hockey, currently ranked seventh in Canadian Interuniversity Sport, will host the Concordia Stingers at South Windsor Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s action will include:

• Basketball versus the Laurier Golden Hawks at the St. Denis Centre; the sixth-ranked men tip off at 1 p.m. and the women, four-time defending champions and number one in the CIS, play at 3 p.m. The Laurier women boast an 8-1 record to earn eighth place in the national rankings.
• Hockey at South Windsor Arena; the women will face off against the Western Mustangs at 4 p.m. and the men will play Concordia in a rematch at 7:30 p.m.
• Volleyball against the Toronto Varsity Blues; the women will play at 6 p.m. and the men at 8 p.m. on the St. Denis court.
