Forensics conference promises a real CSI experience

The latest trends in forensic science will be on display at the CAW Student Centre’s Ambassador Auditorium on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.—and visitors are invited to roll up their sleeves and participate.

The Trends in Forensic Science conference is open to the public and will feature workshop stations where participants can get hands-on experience in:

  • fingerprinting;
  • bloodstain pattern analysis;
  • entomology;

and learn techniques involved in handling and testing evidence. 

Guest speakers for the day include experts in forensic identification, pathology, the autopsy procedure, DNA analysis, drug analysis, and the legal aspects of forensics.

UWindsor alumni working in the forensics field will discuss their professional experiences and a representative from UWindsor’s student exchange office will be on hand with information on opportunities for international study in the program.
