Honorary degree recipient’s novel selected as Book of the Week

A powerful drama about motherhood, the dark undercurrents that break and hold families together, and the power and pressures of love is the Book of the Week at the Campus Bookstore.

Ann-Marie MacDonald’s Adult Onset, normally sold for $32, is available this week for just $19.52.

Her first novel, 1996’s Fall on Your Knees, was an international bestseller, which won the Commonwealth Prize, was short-listed for the Giller Prize, and won the People’s Choice Award and the Canadian Booksellers Association Libris Award for Fiction Book of the Year. Her second novel, The Way the Crow Flies (2003), also an international bestseller, was a finalist for the Giller Prize, and a Good Morning America Book Club pick.

MacDonald is the host and narrator of CBC’s Doc Zone. She received an honorary doctorate of humanities from the University in 2008.
