Hundreds of students enjoyed samosas, drinks and pastry desserts Tuesday, compliments of staff and faculty showing their appreciation for the student body.

“It’s just a gesture of thanks for the many ways the students support us during the year,” said organizer Candy Donaldson. “The sponsoring groups want to show in a tangible way how much we value University of Windsor students.”

Representatives of campus union locals, along with the faculty association and student government executives, distributed goodies and information on their programs.

“This was a great idea,” said one student, who held a plate heaped with savoury samosas, tamarind sauce, and an apple fritter. “I’m always happy to get free food and the bagpipe music called me from clear across campus!”
