Phonathon a chance to make a connection

Student callers will burn up the phone lines this fall, calling UWindsor alumni to solicit their support. The annual Alumni and Friends Phonathon is a key part of the Annual Giving Program, which raises funds for scholarships and other campus initiatives such as research equipment, library resources or enhanced learning spaces, says coordinator Mona Dosen.

“The phonathon makes important connections—it’s current students calling our past students in support of future students,” she says. “I hope that when your phone rings this fall and it’s a University of Windsor student on the other end, you welcome the call and take the opportunity to rekindle your connection with your alma mater. I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed with the conversation you have.”

Donations through Annual Giving allow UWindsor students to:

  • work with cutting edge technology side by side with professors and professionals;
  • have access to state of the art facilities;
  • give students the tools to make the impossible possible and to bring the invisible to view; and
  • break barriers by providing access to a post-secondary education through scholarship support.

Calling commenced September 27 and is conducted evenings, Sundays through Thursdays.
