Musical group to make appearance at the University of Windsor for workshop and performance

On its first visit to the University of Windsor, the Brooklyn-based musical group Project Trio will hold two events on campus in the coming weeks of October.

The ensemble will be leading a free workshop for students of the School of Creative Arts on October 22 at 7 p.m. in room 126, Music Building. The group will engage students, giving them insight on the skill of improvisation, providing tips and tricks for practice and performance.

Following the workshop, Project Trio will hold a concert on Friday, October 23, in the Heritage Room, Assumption Hall. The performance will be filled with classic Project Trio originals, as well as its take on pieces from artists like Beethoven and Jethro Tull.

“This will be a concert you do not want to miss,” says marketing coordinator Susan McKee.

Students may attend for $5 with their UWin cards; all others may purchase tickets for $15 at the door, as well as in advance by phone at 519-253-3000, ext. 4212, or online at www.uwindsor.camusic/project-trio-in-concert.
