UWindsor grad Trevor Georgie tapped to skipper Sea Dogs

The Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League appointed UWindsor business grad Trevor Georgie (MBA 2011) the franchise’s new president.

Prior to joining the Sea Dogs, Georgie served as senior manager of consulting at Wasserman Media Group, one of the world’s largest sports agencies. He also managed internationally-recognized marketing and promotional initiatives with Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment and the real estate investment trust OneREIT.

“I am thrilled to join the Sea Dogs and grateful to call the city of Saint John home,” Georgie said. “It is a well-respected organization, with great people, committed ownership, passionate fans, and a team with a very bright future. I am coming in at an exciting time and couldn’t be happier.”

The franchise’s chief executive officer, Scott McCain, said Georgie will be key to its sales and marketing efforts.

“Trevor’s energy, youth and passion are exactly what we were looking for,” he said. “His leadership style and passion for the game will fit the culture of our organization very nicely.”
