Lecture to explore indigenous legal traditions

A free public lecture today at noon will explore the application of indigenous knowledge systems.

Deborah McGregor will deliver “Applying Indigenous Legal Traditions to Conceptualizing Indigenous Environmental Justice” Monday, January 18, in the faculty lounge, Ron W. Ianni Faculty of Law Building.

Dr. McGregor is Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Environmental Justice at Osgoode Law School and the Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University. She is Anishinaabe from Whitefish River First Nation.

Her appearance is sponsored by the Transnational Law and Justice Network as part of its Borders, Boundaries and Intersections speakers’ series.
