The Faculty Staff Holiday Luncheon, held Wednesday in Vanier Hall, was a wonderful opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues, says Dave Yott, co-ordinator of acquisitions and inter-library loans for the Leddy Library.
“It’s always nice to see everybody you don’t have a chance to see through the year,” he says. “It very well-organized — and the food is always awesome.”
Yott was one of about 300 UWindsor employees to take in the event, which featured everything from roast beef and a mashed potato bar to pastas and gelato.
“The feedback was very good,” says executive chef Paolo Vasapolli. “Everyone enjoyed themselves and our catering staff was pleased with the turnout.”
Another development that pleased organizers was the resulting donation to the Student Food Bank. A prize raffle raised more than $550 in addition to hundreds of non-perishable items brought in by attendees.
