Sculptor to discuss post-minimalist approach to art

Artist Monika Napier will discuss her “post-minimalist feminist sculpture” in a free public talk at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, in room 115, LeBel Building.

Over the course of her career, Napier has used various media like soap, aluminum, and plaster among others, creating installations that explore polar opposites and binaries and disrupt the notions of a traditional gallery.

She has taught at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and the University of Saskatchewan, and is now a member of the visual arts faculty of John Abbott College. Learn more on the School of Creative Arts website.
