Panel to discuss earth’s water resources

In observance of World Water Day, a panel will discuss the challenges facing the earth’s water resources, Wednesday on the UWindsor campus.

Sponsored by the University’s environmental sustainability advisory committee, “Protecting Water, Confronting Challenges” will feature speakers:

  • Doug Haffner, researcher at the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research, discussing “Water and Food for the Future”
  • Mark Bartlett, community environment representative for Unifor Local 444, discussing “Waste not want not! Extended Producer Responsibility in the Auto Industry”
  • Randy Emerson of Windsor on Watch and the Council of Canadians Windsor-Essex on the topic “Pipelines and Water"”

The event is free and open to the public; it begins at 7 p.m. March 22 in Alumni Hall’s McPherson Lounge.
