The Lancer football team will look for its first win of the season Saturday, September 16, as it hosts the 3-0 Western Mustangs on Alumni Field. Kick-off is at 1 p.m.

The game is one of the nine varsity contests targeted by the “Ignite Pride” campaign, which offers UWindsor students a chance to win an Apple iPad tablet computer, just for checking in from the stands. Admission is free for students. All others can purchase tickets at the gate, or in advance at www.golancers.ca/tickets.

In other sports action this weekend, men’s hockey will face off against the Laurier Golden Hawks in a pre-season game, 4:30 p.m. Saturday at South Windsor Arena.

Men’s and women’s soccer will be on the road for contests Saturday against Laurier, and Sunday against the Waterloo Warriors.

Golf will host the Can-Am Classic tournament at the Ambassador club on Monday, September 18.
