Fall Fest promises free feasting for campus community

UWindsor students and employees have a chance to warm up with a free lunch during Fall Fest on Thursday, November 2.

On Turtle Island Walk outside the Toldo Health Education Centre from noon to 1:30 p.m. or while supplies last, Catering Services staff will serve a hearty vegetarian chili with rolls, fresh apples, and hot chocolate. The Mark Calcott Trio will provide live music to serenade the crowds during the event, which will proceed rain or shine.

Sponsored by the Office of the President, Fall Fest is open to all faculty, staff, and especially students, who may be in need of some food fuel as they prepare for mid-term exams, says organizer Mary-Ann Rennie.

“We really hope that this small gesture makes a difference for students feeling stress,” she says. “Hopefully they can take a break from mid-term study and recharge with a bowl of hot chili.”
