University postpones public opening of downtown SoCA buildings

The University of Windsor is postponing the official public opening of the new home for the School of Creative Arts (SoCA) until the new year. Initially planned for today, Friday, December 1, the rescheduling was necessary for all spaces in the new buildings, including the music performance hall, to be fully cleaned for occupancy and use by students, faculty, and staff.

The move of SoCA to the downtown location remains the primary focus so that programs can begin there in January. The University regrets this unexpected delay, and looks forward to welcoming the community to a public opening that will showcase not only the spectacular new facilities, but also the creative work going on within them.
