Event to showcase do-it-yourself creativity

Dubbing it β€œthe greatest show (and tell) on Earth,” organizers of the Windsor-Essex Mini Maker Faire have issued a call for entries.

The event provides a showcase for do-it-yourself creativity, from engineers to artists to scientists to crafters. Sponsored by the UWindsor Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre), it will take place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, at St. Clair College.

Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is a family-friendly gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, authors, and artists to show what they have made and to share what they have learned. Noting the limited space available, organizers want to ensure a mix of different categories and types of exhibitors, speakers, and performers.
