President’s farewell dinner outgrows venue

A farewell dinner of appreciation for the contributions of UWindsor president Alan Wildeman has a new date and location, after demand for attendance outstripped the capacity of campus venues.

The dinner for Dr. Wildeman, who will leave his office at the end of June, is now Tuesday, May 8, at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, 201 Riverside Drive West.

“When we originally announced the event, we sold out in less than a day,” says organizer Mary-Ann Rennie. “We decided to move it to allow all well-wishers a chance to applaud the tenure of a transformational figure in the history of our university.”

The event will open with cocktails at 6 p.m. in the centre’s Alumni Skyline Room. Admission is $100 per person, with the proceeds to benefit the Student Emergency Fund.

To purchase tickets, visit attend.com/PresidentWildemanFarewell or contact Rennie at mrennie@uwindsor.ca or 519-973-7059.
