Registration open for do-gooders’ Dragon’s Den

Registration is now open for a Windsor iteration of the Social Innovation Challenge, which brings together change-makers and funders in what organizers call “Dragon’s Den for the socially conscious.”

During the two-day event, businesses and entrepreneurs pitch concepts that will prove financially sustainable while providing a social or environmental benefit. A nation-wide project of the United Church of Canada, the local event is sponsored by the Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre).

It is set for April 26 and 27 at Emmanuel United Church, 1728 Lincoln Road, and open to the public.

The top social enterprises will be eligible for thousands of dollars in cash prizes, as well as mentorship and training opportunities. Find more information, including an agenda and registration details, on the event website.
