Wellness session to highlight the importance of a healthy and balanced diet

A lunch-and-learn session Thursday, August 9, will teach participants how a healthy and well-balanced diet can provide your body with the energy needed to be active throughout the day and the nutrients required for growth and repair, helping you to stay strong and healthy.

Free for UWindsor faculty and staff, the 40-minute “Eat Well, Feel Well” session is part of the “3 Keys to A Healthier U” campaign.

Facilitator Lauren Fleming, a dietitian with the Windsor-Essex Community Health Centre, says the foods we consume are the building blocks of our body and mind.

“Learning how to nourish your body well can help in many areas of your life — including improved moods, chronic disease management, increased energy levels, and better digestion,” says Fleming.
