Reading to feature double-header of poets laureate

Two poets laureate are on the bill for a free public reading at Biblioasis bookstore on Friday, November 2.

Organized by English professor Karl Jirgens and sponsored by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the event will feature:

  • UWindsor instructor Marty Gervais, poet laureate of Windsor; and
  • Steven Ross Smith, poet laureate of Banff and the UWindsor’s Fall 2018 writer-in-residence.

Smith is best known for his “fluttertongue” poems; his most recent book is Emanations: Fluttertongue 6.

The event begins at 7 p.m. in the bookstore, located at 1520 Wyandotte Street East.
