Architect to open new lecture series

A former UWindsor arts student is the inaugural speaker in the Archilecture series, hosted by the Visual Arts and the Built Environment program.

Colin McDonald, a principal with JP Thompson Architects, will address “Concept and experience” in his presentation, 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, in the Performance Hall, SoCA Armouries at 37 University Ave. East.

McDonald has been involved in a wide variety of projects, ranging from custom furniture to urban design to commercial and institutional buildings. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.

Friday’s lecture is free and open to the public.
