UWinsite Student to go live on Monday, Nov. 26

In preparation for the launch of the new student information platform, resources are in place to assist the campus community with the transition to UWinsite Student.

“We recognize that with the introduction of a new system, there will be challenges along the way. The University of Windsor, however, has experienced similar changes before and we got through it. We will do it again — together,” says Alice Miller, university registrar and UWinsite Student stream lead. “Patience with ourselves, our colleagues, and our students as we all learn this new system will help smooth the transition.”

To assist with the integration of UWinsite Student into the day-to-day operations of the university, self-guided learning materials including videos, user guides, job aids for faculty and staff have been developed and will continue to be developed as needed.

These resources are available at www.uwindsor.ca/uwinsitestudent.

Additional support will also be available:

  1. Beginning on Monday, Nov. 26, users can connect with the UWinsite Student Brigade for assistance with common system tasks such as registering for classes (beginning with the shopping cart and planning for Winter 2019), entering or viewing grades and running advisement reports. The brigade can be reached at 519-253-3000, ext. 5385, or uwinsite@uwindsor.ca from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
  2. Hands-on learning labs are being scheduled. Faculty and staff are invited to bring their questions and tasks such as entering grades to these labs for assistance. The learning lab schedule will be posted on www.uwindsor.ca/uwinsitestudent.
  3. Drop-in help centres have been scheduled to assist students with their transition to UWinsite Student, especially registering for classes for the first time. The drop-in centre schedule can be found here.
  4. On an ongoing basis, users can also connect with the UWinsite Student team for how-to help by submitting a submitting support ticket.

Faculty and staff users are also encouraged to reach out to colleagues in their area who are familiar with UWinsite Student.

Direct any questions to uwinsite@uwindsor.ca.
