Rink to welcome skaters Tuesday

A synthetic ice surface in the Student Courtyard will open to skaters at noon Tuesday, Nov. 27 for the start of a three-day festival of winter activities.

Sponsored by the student centre, Skate the Date promises instruction for new skaters, free refreshments, fun and games in the area between Dillon and Memorial halls.

Tuesday’s activities include:

  • a holiday shopping market in the student centre Commons from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • open skating and a nine-hole Jingle Mingle golf course from 12 to 8 p.m.
  • hot chocolate served at noon and 5 p.m.
  • a s’mores station at 12:30 and 5:30 p.m.
  • egg nog at 2 p.m.
  • maple syrup snow taffy at 4 p.m.
  • cookie decorating at 5 p.m.
