RAEON featured in annual Going Greener report

UWindsor’s Real-time Aquatic Ecosystem Observation Network was featured in The Council of Ontario Universities annual Going Greener report on Tuesday.

The ninth annual report works to demonstrate how universities’ environmental sustainability initiatives support students, communities, the province and beyond.

The Real-time Aquatic Ecosystem Observation Network (RAEON) is spearheaded by Aaron Fisk, Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Changing Great Lakes Ecosystems and a researcher at the University of Windsor’s Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research.

In the report, the Council of Ontario Universities says RAEON supports “comprehensive and multidisciplinary research to understand, manage and protect the Great Lakes.

“This work will also help researchers worldwide who are investigating freshwater ecosystems.”
